Focaccia!

I made this Garlic Focaccia this afternoon.

From Bread

Recipe:

1 1/8 cups water
2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

3 1/4 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp oregano

2 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast

Cornmeal for sprinkling
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil for brushing
6 large cloves garlic, minced

Use the Dough cycle

Brush a 17×11 baking sheet with olive oil and sprinkle with cornmeal

When the Dough cycle ends, immediately turn the dough out onto a lightly-floured surface (not the baking sheet). Divide it into two parts. Press and flatten each part to about 1/4″ thick. Put each part onto the baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 25 minutes.

Preheat oven to 450°

Brush dough again with olive oil. Press fingertips into the dough to make indentations. Sprinkle with minced garlic. Pour leftover oil over the loaves. Reduce oven temperature to 400°. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on rack.
