Tebow Time!

Okay, the detractors are going to have to start eating their words. The kid who can’t throw, runs too often, and is generally “not an NFL quarterback” just took the Denver Broncos to a 35 – 32 win over the Minnesota Vikings. It’s their fifth win in a row and sixth in seven games since installing Tebow as their starting quarterback. They’re now tied with the Oakland Raiders at the top of their division, each 7 -5.

I’m as surprised as anyone, but credit where credit’s due. Tebow’s beginning to remind me of Eddie Stanky, a second-baseman for the NY Giants in the 1940s-1950s, about whom his manager Leo Durocher once said “He can’t hit, can’t run, can’t field. He’s no nice guy… all the little SOB can do is win.”

Well, Tebow’s winning.
