Hype

The Washington Nationals have a young pitching phenom named Stephen Strasburg who had to have Tommy John surgery last year only a dozen starts into his career. Tonight was his first game back in the major leagues, and he did pretty well. Five innings, no runs, two hits allowed and four strikeouts.

But if you only went by MLB.com’s video highlights, you wouldn’t know his team had scored three runs to lead the Dodgers 3-0 after those five innings. The first highlight: “Strasburg retires Loney.” The second: “Strasburg fans Ethier.” The third: “Strasburg successfully bunts.”

Good grief.
