You can probably hear the gnashing of teeth in California from where you are. The Mavericks community just decided to cancel the Mavericks contest tentatively scheduled for today. Can’t have been the cold – it’s warmer in the ocean than on shore for once!
@Hedera Hang in there! I would imagine the remnants of this surf should hit the coast in 4 or 5 days. There’ll be some good surfing then. 🙂

Hedera, according to some of our news people, the Mavericks contest was canceled in part because too many of its likely participants hopped planes to get here for the Eddie.
