Get over it, already

With a possible flu epidemic looming, wouldn’t it be nice if the federal Department of Health and Human Services had a leader?
Oh, sorry. I forgot that the nominee’s position on abortion is more important than the potential disaster a major flu outbreak might create.
Who will rid us of these troublesome radicals?

  1. Right or wrong, these “troublesome radicals” honestly believe that they are saving human lives (or at least the honest ones do), just like the rest of us honestly believe that a just society can’t afford to turn women into incubators. If we turn them into cartoon villains, we lose some of our chance to understand them.

  2. I got the reference. If we take it too far, though, remember who “won” that little argument. (And he was wrong, in my opinion, on the issue.)
