Nowhere near as disturbing as the Wikipedia article. Especially the part about the ice pick.
I do think that this procedure was performed on Rosemary Kennedy because she had a “wild streak” that caused her father much shame. Rose, the Mom, was against this procedure but let old man Kennedy have his way.
Rosemary was institutionalized until her death.
I read the Wikipedia article, and wonder what the lobotomobile must have looked like. The PopeMobile comes to mind, but I hesitate to assume that they were one and the same! ; ^ )
