  1. You know, I was gonna wait til dvd to see this flick, but I think as a student of documentary I can’t NOT go see it at the theater – I mean, how many docs make it to national release like this? And I’m especially intrigued that Moore is supposed to take himself out of the doc near the end. To me all the great docs ALWAYS keep the filmmakers out of frame and silent, and let the subjects tell their story. I think it’s more powerful that way. Plus the more I see of Moore the more annoying I find him. But maybe that’s just me. Anyhow I don’t think seeing it will change my mind on the issues – but perhaps about Moore, who knows.

  2. Just saw it tonight at Dole … pretty big crowd, and there was applause when Patsy Mink appeared early in the film.
Yeah, it seemed like there was less MM screen time than in, say, Bowling For Columbine.
I really enjoyed it; Alex described it as being like an extended Jon Stewart show, but not quite as funny. Unexpected highlight (?) — hearing John Ashcroft sing. He has a great career as a lounge act to look forward to when all this is over with.

  3. I have to watch Ashcroft sing?! Now I don’t know if I CAN watch this thing in the theater – I think that might make me ill. Ack.
