Wow. As Buck and McCarver said yesterday during that incredible win by the Angels, “we thought we’d seen it all last year, but…” Even my less-than-fanatic sports fan mother was caught up in the excitement. How the hell am I supposed to prepare dinner while Game Seven is going on?
i didn’t so much watch, as catch the very ending, i just love the images of the celebration. and a team with it’s first time win ever, that’s pretty wonderful.
Game 7 was just basic baseball; Game 6 was startling. The celebrations are always more fun to watch when it’s a group of players who’ve never won it before (there speaks my anti-Yankee bias, I’m afraid).
Living on the East Coast, it was hard to get excited about the World Series without the Yankees!!!!
But, I did hear it was a great game.
I guess they drove just a few miles to get to Disney World, huh???
