Perlta magic!! Woot!!
Since Link couldn’t post a full entry, I’ll add some fun facts from https://forebears.io/surnames/pfaadt: “The surname Pfaadt is the 970,883rd most prevalent family name on a worldwide basis, held by approximately 1 in 27,294,179 people. This last name is mostly found in Europe, where 70 percent of Pfaadt are found; 70 percent are found in Western Europe and 50 percent are found in Gallo-Europe.”
Not to be confused with a beer company.
That insurance run in the 9th made the difference.
Last year there would not have been an attempt to steal second.
Only thing missing from a tense 9th inning was Kelly.
Got to run it out rookie.
Yahoo!
Once again, Dodgers gain ground on everybody but the Rox.
Whew!! We win.
Ballgame.
Dodgers win!!
Woo-HOO!!!!
About time
Now that’s futuring!
Marte having a good night
Remember that DP I was mentioning earlier Dodgers? Let’s go for that here now.

We can still do this. Bear down, Phillips.
EP does not have it tonight. Hope he can still find it.
Uggh
Oh yikes
Arghhhh.
Phillips could be a little rusty, hasn’t pitched much lately.
Good call. Unfortunately.
Prior should trot out with some WD40
DP! DP! Please?
Get to work, future lady!
I failed, WBB. I failed.
Let’s get it done Dodgers.
Put this baby to bed Evan.
Ever since Friedman contradicted Roberts about whether the Dodgers were built to steal bases, the Dodgers have been running a lot.
Mookie. Again.
And Outman
BETTS
Rosario showing why he hits lefties better
The catcher stole a strike—from the pitcher
So I guess both Almonte and Vesia are on the ropes right now
Stone to the rescue?
Whew!!
Gnats and Pads have both lost, but Dodgers cannot gain ground on Rox tonight.
Get to work, future people!
You can breathe
I would settle for an out if not a DP
Good grief.
Could still use a DP here.
Meanwhile, in Anaheim… https://twitter.com/mi_guardado/status/1689114076444860416?s=20
Have the Angels blown that game yet?
They tried, but they were playing the Gnats.
Could use a DP here.
Vesia is scary..
Tough to hit – when he throws strikes.
Darn. That was strike 3.
Well, Freddie can just stay put.
Nice job Julio.
One more?
95 pitches today
Looking like Julio.
Dodgers sign elite Korean prospect. https://twitter.com/KBO_ENG/status/1689100757537050624?s=20
Heyward just smacks that ball every time. O-3 but must lead the team in velocity.

Meant for the game, but thanks.
This game is in line with those stats. Sometimes I think his ball will jump to or over the wall and be caught short of the warning track. His contact always fools me.
Freddie is having more luck today
Been dipping in and out recently – with more vacation time to come. But I’m sorry you are feeling poorly Link. Take care and get well soon.
Peralta helping Julio out with his dinger woes.
Hospitalized with mild case of aspirational pneumonia and possibly a gall stone. No laptop. Tomorrow I hope to have one or go home.
A gall stone or a laptop?
If I’m rid of the one I can do the other.
That sounds like you tried to swallow your laptop
Take care Link, and keep us updated.
Sorry to hear that Link. Hope you are feeling OK and recover quickly.
Sending positive energy to you Steve.
I have never aspired to contract pneumonia.
This kind has to do with poorly swallowed food, which I don’t recall doing.
Gotta be a hard thing to swallow.
Always seems like there are more Dodger fans in AZ than AZ fans
Boston was loaded with Dodger fans as well in the games I saw there.
Also true in Phoenix, SD, and Anaheim. Should the A’s be so unfortunate as to relocate in Vegas, the crowds will be overwhelmingly Dodger fans.
Mookie and Freddie are unreal right now.
Double good
Mookie the hooker
Except when he isn’t
I hear we have signed Jang, the 19 year old Korean pitcher.
Julio doesn’t look particularly sharp, but getting the job done.
Effectively wild?
He is in the vicinity, just not sharp
He’s mostly hitting the strings now though.
Or not
Meanwhile, in Anaheim, Angles are swatting Gnats 4-0 after one.
Quique continues his revival.
Willie helps Julio with his first inning woes.
Proving he can hit without fluorescent shoes today.
Interviewed after yesterday’s game, Mookie talking about his salami said that while as a leadoff hitter he is usually focused on getting on base he swung at the 3-0 pitching because he was “trying to score as many points as possible”. Given his love of bowling, just surprised he didn’t say “pins”.
Maybe he was still in ping pong mode.
In Queens, old friend Spicoli just fanned old friend Belli (who has homered tonight, however).
I had to think about that one. I don’t think I ever heard Bickford interviewed.
