And go outside at 3:00AM ET to watch Comet 209P/Linear and its friends the Camelopardalids, a meteor shower making its first appearance in recorded history.
The shower should be active from 10:30 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday, EDT. The comet’s track is shown in these diagrams.
Well, I hope you have better luck seeing them than we will have out here in Central Oahu. Right now (a little after 8PM) the cloud cover is pretty complete and doesn’t look as though it’s going to clear. (sigh)
