Two doctor trips, one location, one day

This just happened. It wasn’t done by design. I had a long-scheduled visit to the ENT docs today at 10:30am at Tripler Hospital. About three weeks ago I made an appointment for an eye exam, because it seems to me my vision is getting a little fuzzy. Still perfectly acceptable, but I was noticing it. The eye appointment was also for today, at 2:30 this afternoon at the VA center, right next door to Tripler. I didn’t have my calendar available when the eye appointment was made or I might have suggested a different date. When I realized both were on the same day I tried to change one but it would have been pushed back a month or so, so I bit the bullet.

I went up to the ENT clinic at 10:30, waited around a little while, and saw those guys. They poked around in my mouth, checked the result of a CT scan ordered back in November the last time I was up there (no problem), and scoped me with the up-the-nostrils camera. They pronounced me doing well and told me to come back in June.

I went home and fixed Mom’s lunch (sliced banana, cottage cheese and blueberries, with several Thin Mints and a glass of milk).

At 2:00pm I got back into the car and drove back over there (the whole campus is half-a-dozen ridges east of me). The eye docs examined and examined and examined and couldn’t figure why I wasn’t seeing better out of my glasses, since the tests showed me to be at about the same prescription as the current glasses already are. They told me to come back in June too. Fortunately this time the two appointments are a week apart.
