I’m about to get a new eyeglasses prescription for the first time in about six years, and I’m appalled at the price of new ones. The VA will do the exam and give me a prescription, but it won’t buy me the glasses, which is fine. I’ve been using photogray lenses for 40 years and bifocals for 16, so that adds up to a couple of hundred bucks. Then there are frames. The cheapest ones I saw at the optical shop at Sears the other day while I was getting a nose pad screw replaced were about $140.

Has anyone had any experience buying glasses online?
