I’ve been playing with this gadget all day, loading up Facebook and Twitter and downloading Nook software for e-reading. I managed to get Calibre to give me the “Send to Device” button I’d not found yesterday. In one of those weird things that happens when you’re installing something, the Nexus 7 got onto a list of devices to be ignored by Calibre. I don’t even know how I found the list! Anyway, I unchecked the box next to the device and presto! The “Send to Device” icon showed up on the toolbar.

I think I need a case. This thing has an awfully smooth plastic back, one which could easily slip out of your hand while walking.
