That’s the view from Sam Choy’s Island Style Grille and Seafood, a restaurant at Hickam Harbor on Joint Base Pearl Harbor – Hickam. We took Mom there for brunch to celebrate her birthday, and my sister took that shot along with several others which can be seen at Facebook.

If I told you how many birthdays this has been I’d be found floating in that water, so I won’t. The food was good, the restaurant is open-air and not flashy, and it’s four feet above the waterline. What more do you need?
