We had a power spike on Saturday which knocked the cable as well as the regular and microwave oven clocks off. No big thing, right? Ah, but it also knocked the automatic timer for our sprinkler system off, and it actually ran a cycle through all four zones before I manually stopped it to keep it from starting all over again.

Since then it hasn’t done a thing, or rather it hadn’t done a thing until last night at 12:30AM when it started running through all four areas. That was a surprise. I decided to let it run and hope that it wouldn’t restart after it finished up its first cycle, and I was fortunately rewarded; it didn’t.

I ended up not turning out the light until 1:15AM rather than 45 minutes earlier as originally planned.
