The thing that strikes me about the still photo below of Lt. Pike spraying those kids is the inhuman calm he has about it, like he was spraying aphids on rose bushes or something. In addition, he had to have seen all the bystanders with cameras, and he didn’t care. Obviously he felt he had nothing to fear from his superiors.

What the hell kind of society have we got now that the cops are so divorced from the people they’re supposed to “serve and protect” they feel they can do this sort of thing with impunity?
