There’s plenty to deplore about college football these days, but most of it happens off the field. Originally a collective blog with volunteer contributions from fans around the country, it was purchased in 2006 by Rivals.com, one of the biggest college sports news sites around. A year later Rivals itself was acquired by Yahoo; so far Yahoo hasn’t screwed it up.
