Paddling upstream

Back here I grumbled about the difficulty I was having replacing the kneading paddle for my bread machine.

Problem solved. I found a guy online who calls himself the Breadmaker Guru (okay, hokey, but if he walks the walk, right?). He runs a website called Breadmaker Parts Authority. To find the part you need at his site you need to know your machine’s model number; you search by the model number and if there’s a hit in his database you can order directly from him using PayPal, check or credit card with free shipping.

Well, I searched by model number for my Bella Cucina machine and got nothing, but I wrote him a note asking if he had an equivalent paddle to the one used by my machine. Within hours he wrote back to say he did, enclosed a link to the appropriate part on his site, and told me to carry on from there. I did, and sure enough the part looked right, so I ordered two (at $10 each, I thought I’d buy some insurance). He sent them to me Priority Mail at no charge, and they got here yesterday. They fit my machine just fine.

If you know anyone who needs bread machine parts, pass along the website info. They’ll thank you for it.

ATTENTION! I have nothing to do with the Breadmaker Guru except as a satisfied customer. If you want him to respond to a question, contact him directly at his website at Breadmaker Parts Authority. Do not leave a message for him in the comment section here. He probably won’t see it.

  1. Sometimes I whif, sometimes I hit a homer, but this? This I’m speechless. You’ve inspired be to create a good report document to log future accolades. Thank you Mr Timberlake. Thanks alot. Breadmaker Guru

  2. Oddly enough, yesterday I was shopping and passed a shop called “Parts Galore” or some such name (since I know how to find it I don’t need to know the name…). They claim to have parts for everything. Not having a breadmaker, I didn’t ask them about paddles. But you didn’t need them anyway – and kudos to the Breadmaker Guru!

  3. Troy,
Thank you for the breadmaker part for my Breadman Pro Artisan Baker model TR850. It was definately worth the wait… I think it’s been two years since I’ve used it because I lost the kneader in a move. I thought I was going to have to buy a new breadmaker. Thanks again!

  4. I’m glad you found the paddle for breadmaker.
I have an office chair I bought 18 or so years ago. Back in 2000, one or two wheels broke. I went looking on line for replacements. I found a company in CT that made wheels that looked like the ones on my chair. I sent an e-mail to a sales rep and asked about ordering some wheels. The sales rep sent me six without charge. I thought that was extremely nice of her and I sent her an e-mailing thanking her.
    The internet can be great.

  5. Dear BreadmakerGuru,
I received the kneading blade and the instructions. Thank you for the heads’ up about the difference in design…I was a bit concerned when I first saw the blade. We made our first loaf and WOW! It worked very well.
    Thank you for your service!
    Have a blessed 2011,

There is nothing we are so apt to waste as time, and nothing we aught to be more careful of, since without it we can do nothing in this world. Time is what we need most, but alas, what we use worst. (William Penn)

  6. Happy New Year BreadmakerGuru!
Hope you’re well and on the road to enjoying an even greater prosperity. The manual you were able to supply after my 6-month search has made such a difference in my enjoyment of a new “hobby”.
Thank You and Blessings to you in this New Year!

  7. Hi Guru. Great news! Thank You
About the postal address I let You know an address in the United States (should be free shipping) where You could ship the basket.
I travel a lot and I often come in the USA, so for me will be easy to pick up the package.
Please let me know how much and how to pay the basket (for me Paypal could be ok), and I’ll appreciate if You could send me a picture of the basket in order to be sure that is the right object.
    Thank You

Pictures sent. Check ur spam. And while we’re on the subject: you’re plan has but one flaw that i can see: i have the new bread pan in stock today. i cannot and will not reserve it for your next visit to the U.S. nor will i guarantee that when you do actually contact me to make the purchase that i will have one available to sell/send you. in the small appliance industry this is more the norm than the exception. small appliance manufacturers do not like to bother with low-profit replacement parts… they want to sell entire units. here today, gone tomorrow: such is the nature of the beast and i just thought you should know for to be fore warned is to be fore armed. guru
