Suppose you’re Tom & Ray Magliozzi, hosts of NPR’s Car Talk. Then suppose somebody calls you up to say you’ve just bought this car at auction, and you feel to make it street legal you need to remove some of the extras.
What would you say?

After 30 years of listening to Tom and Ray, I think they’d say, “How soon can we drive it??”
That’s what I’d say!
I actually saw that car, come to think of it. It was on display at the ’64-’65 NY World’s Fair when we went there. I may even have a B&W photo of it taken with my little Instamatic.
Such a gorgeous car. When people say, “They don’t make ’em like this anymore”, this is what they’re talking about! What a beauty!
