I got a couple of 5-oz. Hickory Farms-like sausage sticks (kind of a tradition; it used to be chocolate-covered cherries, but they’re harder to find than they used to be).
No fruitcake, though. Drat.

Scott got me WAY too much candy, but he did remember the Cella chocolate covered cherries. And these amazing truffles, and his mother sent some sweet breads from Wolfermann’s.
Okay, I’ll confess.
I LIKE fruitcake.
Soak it in a nice brandy, then warm some hard sauce to pour over it, and I find it a tasty dessert.
Now back into the closet for another year. (sigh)
