Speaking of banks, I just received my latest bill for my AMEX credit card (my bank sold its VISA portfolio to AMEX a couple of years ago), and I’ve been assessed a $29 late fee on the 22nd of the month. I paid it in full (and have the receipt) on the 18th. Is it any wonder I don’t think much of credit card companies?
Chase Visa just sent me a notice saying that they’re moving the late fees up to $39 if the balance is over $200. Nice.
The one thing I like about AMEX is that you can pay by phone without a fee (useful to the chronically late, like me).
The bank is in the same shopping center I frequent daily, so I was a walk-in. That’s why I have the receipt.
Gawd.
