NPUT
MLB needs to fix the umpiring problem ASAP. They should be ashamed that it has gotten to this point. They have the means, it is time to use it.
Baseball needs more Emmet Ashfords.

Dodgers call up Elieser Hernández & Eduardo Salazar for bullpen game vs. Giants
Salazar & Hernández were both starters in Triple-A, called up as the fresh arms for series finale in San Francisco. Gus Varland was optioned to Oklahoma City, and Nabil Crismatt designated for assignment. According to MLBTR, Hernandez most likely will get the start.
Is designated for assignment a euphemism for being fired?
Not exactly. He’s out of options, so he can become a free agent. Dodgers DFA’d him earlier this season, and he chose to return to OKC on a minor league contract. He’s not what it once appeared he’d be, but he made some small contributions in his time on the big club.
Thanks for the explanation.
With the addition of Elieser, I wonder what the record is for most players named Hernandez on one team? LOL.
Hernández is now listed as the starter. He’s pitched well at OKC.
The Rox continue to pound the Fryers, 5-0 after four against Michael King who shut down the Dodgers last Friday.
Meanwhile, I’ll re-up this entertaining link about Kevin Elster Field: https://www.sfgate.com/giants/article/giants-dodgers-kevin-elster-three-homers-19451800.php
It is now 8-0 in the top of the 8th. Kind of warms the heart.
Kevin Elster should throw out the first ball at Software Stadium tonight.
Shucks.
Oh well. Took the series. The kids pitched well. Offense was pathetic. 5 thru 9 in the order, 0 for 18 with 7 SO.
¡Miércoles!
Mierda!!
Ohtani really is a heck of a hitter.
OK, Freddie, get it done.
LaMonte walks on strike three.
Oh fiddlesticks.
Lux with another weak ground ball out.
Inching closer.
Robo-umps can’t get here soon enough for me.. Geez.
Ohtani called out on a ball. Rats!!
Good job by the kid.
Not a kid, he’s 29, but he did well.
This is not so much fun as last night.
Ack!
Muncy and Pages are slumping.
Pages is coming back to earth. Doesn’t take major league pitchers long to figure out your weaknesses.
There’ll be a period of adjustment.
Rats!!!
Bah.
Miércoles, ¡Max!
A big missed opportunity.
Tonight’s starter is the most loathsome of the current Gnats.
I don’t keep track of that stat.
It’s in the scouting report.
Ah, I see it now under the section titled loathsome
His MLG+ (Most Loathsome Giant) is +133. +100 is average.
Agreed, except that you misspelled “Gnat.”
