Despite all the adulation heaped on generals and admirals by a press corps which knows next-to-nothing about the military, ask anyone who’s spent any time in the service or working for the service as a civilian (bartender at a club, retail clerk at a post exchange, etcetera) and he or she will tell you that they are just as human as the rest of us. They can be very nice people sometimes and total jerks other times. Unlike every other news outlet here and abroad, that’s all I have to say about the Petraeus/Broadwell/Kelley/Allen imbroglio.
