Dodgers at Rockies, 6:40 PM PDT, TV: ATT Sportsnet RM, SPNLA
LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu (9-1, 1.27 ERA) takes the mound for the Dodgers at Coors Field today. Like every other non-Colorado pitcher in the universe, his career record there is less than stellar: 1-3, 7.56 ERA in four starts. In his last start he gave up three runs (one earned) to the Rockies in six innings and got no decision. The Rockies counter with RHP Antonio Senzatela (6-5, 4.91 ERA), who’s 13-8 in his career with a 5.29 ERA at home. He’s 1-0 with a 4.73 ERA in four appearances against the Dodgers.
Here are the Dodgers’ six home runs in yesterday’s game:
Today in Dodgers’ history:
- 1969 After ending an 11-game losing streak in their previous contest, the expansion Padres are the victims of a 19-0 shutout for the second time this season when Dodgers right-hander Don Drysdale equals the National League-record for the largest margin of victory in a shutout. L.A. will score more than half of their runs when they tally ten times in the third inning.
- 2000 The Rockies draw their 20 millionth fan to one ballpark faster than any other team in major league history. Taking less than six years, Colorado eclipses the Dodgers’ mark of taking nine years in two stadiums to reach the milestone.
- 2008 In Chavez Ravine, the Dodgers, without the benefit of a hit for the entire game, defeat the Angels, 1-0. The combined losing effort of Halo hurlers Jered Weaver and Jose Arredondo isn’t considered officially as a no-hitter because the home team didn’t have to bat in the ninth (a nitpick if I ever heard one).

NPUT
Surprising that Rosscup of all the pitchers, did not give up a run.
Let’s hope we do better tomorrow.
Given how well Dodgers have played recently, I can’t get too upset.
Not holding my breath…
Yep, like I said.
This may not be our night… Rockies are more than due a win over the Dodgers.
The beginning of this inning is not encouraging.
Welp, I like our tenacity.
This is the strangest game I can remember.
Indeed. As Orel said, “First base is haunted tonight.”
Had to go out for dinner, and agonized through Gameday in the fifth. It sounds as if the defense was truly awful.
Embarrassing. But also weirdly unlucky.
I doubt that I’ll want to go back and review it. Homer by the .050 hitter was a real blow.
One of them (not sure if it was this one) looked like a routine fly ball. So strange the way it carried.
Bizarro land.
Crazy crazy game.
Mad Max!!!!
Disastrous inning. So ugly. I guess we were due.
Bah. Time to go cook.
Come back!
Bad news bears suddenly making an appearance.
Wow! Heckuva play by Russell Martin!
Quick thinking!
And a lucky bounce from the backstop.
Where are my peeps?
These new balls are absolutely flying out especially here. He didn’t even hit that one that well!
Time to go bye-bye Ryu. Only here…
Oh, man.
Ump, give these pitchers a break.
Coors field – the ERA killer.
Joe Davis called this Arena Baseball during yesterday’s game.
Muncy, please stand here, now stand there, now stand here. Now believe, the ball will come to you.
Well now. That was a nice way to get out of that mess.
Young Mr Beaty should let his hair grow out. That’s a bad look.
Verdugo likes Colorado
Ryu knew where to hit it but was a couple of innings late to get in on Murphy’s troubles.
Can’t stop CT3!
Verdugo tore the padding on the RF wall.

Ya think?
rats
Very bad future person!
Does it really matter where you learn of something whether it is Game Day or here?

Senzatella not a happy fella.
34 pitches will do it to ya.
So willa Murphyella
Grinder Ryu
CT3 stays hot!
If he makes contact it’s a hit.
Pederson is not the worst first baseman in baseball. We are seeing proof of that.
Murphy seems unnerved.
Done it before I guess.
Coors isn’t an easy place for 1B, but the usual problem is that the sun’s in his eyes on a throw at this hour.
Dodgers flexing their muscles again tonight
Once again, Dodgers and Rox are MLBTV free game of the day.

CT3 seems to be Mr. Lucky (by extension we are lucky to have him). http://enews.newsletters.ocregister.com/q/J_XfekEL4KiH-COHwDacOvG_peIEygi5mM5Vh-zLWJlN6LaQHLcQYYhkD
