The Mets are designating reliever Jorge López for assignment, reports Joel Sherman of the New York Post. The move comes after the veteran right-hander tossed his glove into the stands following a rough outing this afternoon against the Dodgers. After the game, López said he didn’t regret the incident and called the Mets “the worst team in probably the whole bleeping MLB” (video provided on X by SNY).
Guess he won’t need that glove.
Fryers and Gnats have both lost, so Dodger lead will be 6-1/2 over both. Snakes also lose, so it’ll be 9-1/2 over them. Rox could gain ground on all of them.
