Giants at Dodgers, 5:00PM PST, ESPN2.
Zack Greinke goes for the Dodgers and Matt Cain goes for the Giants. Oddly, they have identical ERAs of 3.60 for the young season. Greinke has a win and Cain has no record.
Lineup:
#Dodgers lineup vs. Giants:
Gordon 2B
Crawford LF

Gonzalez 1B

Hmm. No Puig. From a tweet an hour after the lineup was posted: “Don Mattingly: Yasiel Puig is on his way to get an MRI. We don’t expect it to be anything major. X-rays were negative.”
NPUT
I would feel better about Puig if Mattingley hadn’t said it wasn’t serious.
Puig is day-to-day with a strained ligament in his left thumb.
and so normal is restored
K-enley!
Get the K, K!
That’s a great stat about Zack — 7-0 when pitching following a loss. With the lack of run support for him last year, I wonder if Kersh was that successful.
Apparently, the link I posted below didn’t work, but there’s a documentary on the 1955 Dodgers tonight at 11 pm on KQED-Plus (see http://www.kqed.org/tv/ and open the schedule for KQED-Plus). I believe it’s streamable if you’re not in the Bay Area).
Thanks!
Not a “save” opportunity, but I’m not complaining — especially with another off day manana.
From sluggish to sluggy.
Hanley!
A healthy HanRam AND Bison . . . that’s what I’ve been hoping for!
Greinke back at it.
I like the idea of Kemp at 6th (it is obviously working today) I think it lengthens the possible threats down our batting order
I prefer Kemp to hit before Gonzalez.
Let’s have a foot race from 1st to 3rd between Puig Kemp Ramirez Gonzalez and hit them 2nd through 4th from fastest to slowest.
Just tuned in for a short time, this is much better 🙂
Rusty, Kemp said.
I’ll repost this from previous thread: Tonight on KQED-Plus, http://www.kqed.org/tv/program… should interest everybody here. I believe you can watch it streaming if you’re not in the Bay Area.
Bison!
Ditto!
With Cain, Andre is able.
Greinke is tough!
I suspect that MRI for Puig is on his thumb, possibly jammed when he slid into 1st base yesterday.
That’s how you fit 4 outfielders into 3 spots
I believe that Cain is WBBsAs’ favorite giants pitcher to find contemptible.
Gnatt Cain.
