Dodgers Game Thread 9/22/12

The Dodgers’ win last night kept the Reds from clinching the NL Central, but the successor to the Big Red Machine gets another chance today. Any combination of a Reds win or a Cardinals loss gives the Queen City its second division title in three years after fifteen years without one.

Young Mr. Fife takes his 2.49 ERA up against the likes of Votto and Phillips as well as two Old Friends today: Messrs. Paul and Navarro are in the lineup for the Reds. The game is on Big Fox TV.

  1. Thanks Link for setting this up. I still feel the great loss of Dodger Thoughts, but am glad to be part of this community. I agree with John – the pic gives a dignified feel to the page.

  2. As much as I love Kershaw, if I’m the Dodgers I don’t think it is worth the risk in letting him into a game at this point in the season.

  3. Same font and feel to this site, but – ooh new comments above the old ones – wild stuff.

  4. It needs a bucketload of cleanup and prettification, but it works. Click the “Discussion” button to control sorting by oldest or newest (this looks to be a newer or at least different version of Disqus than the one that was at Jon’s DT).

  5. got to go will check the result later, Link, get out the fishing line to reel everyone else back in (to join us here)

    • maybe another detailed post at the end of the open thread on DT may do it (I’ve already ‘Favourited’ your site)

  6. I know the Dodgers are running out of games, and that the Cards already won today. Despite this, I would be happy to take 2 out of 3 against the Reds and then take our chances making up games against non-90 win teams.

  7. Crazy game A’s vs Yankees. Both have scored 4 runs in the 13th inning. On to the 14th they go.
