Say It Ain’t So!
Arizona AND Virginia both out of the NCAA tournament? In the first round? I had U of A losing to Virginia in the Sweet 16! The Buffalo Bulls and the UMBC Retrievers beat them? and My bracket’s shot to hell. How’s yours?

Not to diminish the assistant coaches named yesterday in this FB investigation of NCAA basketball bribery and corruption at some of its member schools, but if Louisville really does fire its 2-time NCAA Champion coach Rick Pitino he will be the biggest scalp the FBI’s gotten without even naming him yet. I’m inclined to think …
If you didn’t see the last few seconds of the UNC-Kentucky game today, here they are: Carolina is up 73-70 with 11.1 seconds to go, Kentucky’s got the ball. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #Elite8 pic.twitter.com/GETD7qN2kG — NCAA March Madness (@marchmadness) March 26, 2017 Not quite Grant Hill to Christian Laettner, but a pretty amazing finish nonetheless.

All basketball fans remember Grant Hill’s pass to Christian Laettner back in 1992, when Duke beat Kentucky. Now we’ve got another NCAA Championship game play to remember. This one’s gonna be seen in all the promos for the tournament from now on. The Villanova coach: “He takes those shots all the time and sometimes I …
As expected, the UConn Huskies demolished the Oregon State Beavers in the first women’s semi-final game today. In the second game, Syracuse leads Washington 43-31 at halftime. Does anyone else find it odd and a little surprising that all four teams in the Women’s Final Four are coached by men?
It looked like Villanova and North Carolina were playing D-II teams today. The results were a 44-point blowout by the Philadelphians and a much more modest but just as convincing 17-point win by the Chapel Hill residents. Oh well. There were some great photos of the action today. I don’t know who to pick in …
