The forecast for DC in mid-October is mostly sunny but no higher than about 65 degrees F during the day, and down to the low 50s at night.
Since the events we have planned are in the evening, I’m going to die of exposure.

HAHAHA – welcome to reality and not paradise!! Look on the bright side, if you were going to Boston, temps would be more like 55 daytime and 45 nighttime. We’ve already had a couple of those nights. Brrrrrr Of course, if you were coming to Boston, we’d buy you a drink!! 🙂 ANd take you on a tour, maybe.
I will take you up on the tour offer if I ever get there. Thank you!
My late uncle used to tell a story about his Hawai’i one and only trip. He and a friend had just arrived from Wisconsin, and there were severe weather alerts on the radio. They were ordering people to take shelter and to gather up any and all sweaters and blankets they had and be prepared to use them, because the temperature was going to drop almost all the way down to 50F!
They were wearing shorts and T-shirts and were comfortable, while a friend they were visiting was bundled up and absolutely shivering.
*his one and only Hawai’i trip.
You’d have another free drink in Boston if you ever made it up this way. 🙂
And another tour.
