OD: Thanks for that. I had forgotten that Seager was out so long.
Found it on another site. Just passing it along.
What a pathetic AB by Biggio. I don't have much hope that he will help us much. I wanted them to bring up Lipcius.
Everybody listened to Ohio Dodger!
So far.
Pages to first on a stretcher
Great at bat Teo!
Heck of an AB by Teo.
He stepped it up!
Good Teo!
Well, time for everyone to step it up until Mookie is back. Especially Lux, Biggio, Vargas, and Heyward.

From Lynn, Link’s sister, yesterday:
“Hi Tinker,
I'm so overwhelmed with sadness but must carry on for Steve. Did you know who was going to try to take over the Elysian Fields blog? I'm sure I kinda knew, but it's been a tough few months. I know Steve wanted it to live on. He also said he appreciated your friendship and all of his online friends.
He would tell me all the time how he wished he could travel to see a game with you all. But the darn COPD prevented that. I have my grandson twice a week to help me with anything tech related. He's obviously not a blogger, but he does go to a charter school called hawaii Tech Academy. He's pretty sharp. Hopefully, at some point, we can move the blog to another avid Dodger fan that is in your group.
We are working on his obituary, his service won't be until September, as we coordinate with our cousins from California.
Hope you are well.
Much Mahalo
Lynn”
I am willing to spend a few hours to schedule each Post and include a This Day In Baseball. Feel free to let Lynn know of my offer. I can be reached at frednaz@gmail.com. The domain name will eventually have to be renewed as well as hosting fees paid. BTW http://www.elysianfields.com is not available and looks to belong to a school.
Thanks so much, Bumsrap! I will copy this comment and message it to Lynn.
Woo-HOO!!!
Yay!! We win. Good job boys.
Dodgers win!
This is not good. They’ll have the momentum on their side tomorrow.
Or they made the Dodgers take notice and hungry for more runs again.
Let’s go with that!
Bases empty now at least.
Well…
Okay, Firehose. That’s enough of that.
Trying to squeeze 2 innings out of a mediocre one inning reliever.
Good for Jones. First hit a Homer!
I feel like the Rockies will try and take a few more pitches tomorrow. Lots of quick outs for them tonight.
A hit not as good as a walk there. Lol
Freddie can try for walk number 6.
Doing the new Freddie
Jimmie Foxx only player to walk 6 times in a 9 inning game.
Great AB by Will.
9-1.
Infield in to cut off the run. Don’t want to fall behind 9-1.
LOL
Lux joins the party.
Boston wins another National Championship.
18th nba title
Good job Jay-Hey.
Hit em where they ain't
Jay-Hey!!!
Good stuff!
Up to JHey
Let’s go Andy. Do some damage here.
Just get the run in Teo. You don't need a HR.
Apparently if you get 4 walks, you get the 5th one free.
Ohtani goofed. Should have taken 3rd on that play.
Balk!
If Ohtani tags and takes 3rd, that is a run.
I thought that too, but if he was on third they probably don’t try to pick him off and hence no balk.
Good point.
Safe!
Looked out to me.
But not from that view.
Why don't all hitters wear the hand pad that Ohtani wears?
Padded?
007 innings
Majestic service.
Paxton. James Paxton.
Round of applause for sure.
Paxton comes up big.
Outstanding effort by Paxton. Way to go James.
Oh Canada! Way to go Paxton!
Better!
Lux kinda killing the mood that inning.
He has been disappointing so far this year.
Just got back to Fairbanks after a day of moose-watching in Denali, and Dodgers reward me.
Biggio!
Well, that was exciting!
Miggy Ro!!!
Rojas En Fuego.
Good job Paxton.
Only two hits but they could still tie this one.
Coming up empty and tempting the fates at Coors
Just what I was thinking. So many promising but ultimately empty innings.
1 for 9 RISP, 10 LOB so far.
Teo only missing the ball by a foot or more
Run Freddie
Camera guy has been fooled a couple of times tonight.
Smith just missed it.
Shohei is heating up / hot at the plate right now.
I would feel a lot better with some more runs.
Pull on your nylons.
Paxton rollin’ along
Phillies beat the Padres, 9-2.
No eyes but wow sounds like a great catch there by Colorado.
Good but not great.
A 3-1 lead in Colorado is about the same as a 3-1 deficit… Danger Will Robinson… lol
Baltimore chop.
This umpire is pretty good!
MLB broken hand injuries, 2021-23
Player Year Team Days missed
Corey Seager 2021 Dodgers 75
Alex Blandino 2021 Reds 67
Aledmys Díaz 2021 Astros 50
Byron Buxton 2021 Twins 66
Mickey Moniak 2022 Phillies 53
Manny Machado 2023 Padres 17
Charlie Blackmon 2023 Rockies 64
Ramón Laureano 2023 A's 32
Thairo Estrada 2023 Giants 33
That’s some good research there OD!
