The Dodgers ask lefty Rich Hill (10-3, 2.09 ERA) to make his second start for them. Lingering blister troubles kept him off the mound for a month after he was acquired at the trade deadline. He’ll face RHP Luis Perdomo (7-7, 5.84 ERA). The rookie pitched his first complete game his last time out and got six double plays in the game to help him do it. That shouldn’t have been a surprise; his ground ball rate is 60%, the highest in the NL.
Kershaw is pitching a three-inning or 50-pitch rehab start for Rancho Cucamonga today.

Such a fun pitching weekend for the Dodgers: Urias, Hill and JDL. Plus 3 innings of 1 hit, 5 k pitching by Kershaw. Feather in the hat of the guy who got the hit – even if it was just a high chopper out in front of the plate.

In Spanish, “Kike” would not have an accent but, because of potential linguistic misunderstandings, they spell it with one. “Quique” makes more sense to me.
A-Gon has been pushing his fellow players to put the accents on their uniform backs all year. At least 20 players have followed his lead.
Hernández does have an accent.
Sad that this didn’t happen before today, but glad it has occurred – the first female baseball announcer in Canada. Special interest to me and WBBsAs.
