Nobody told me today’s game was at 12:35pm HST!
The Dodgers send Aaron Harang out to do battle with Clayton Richard. Harang hasn’t won a game since August 18 (not a surprise; if commenter scooplew’s math is correct, yesterday’s game was the 20th consecutive one in which the Dodgers’ starter did not get a win). Meanwhile, Richard’s been on a roll. In his last eight starts he’s 6-1 with a 3.25 ERA.
The game is televised by Prime Ticket today, so I’ll have an opportunity to watch. I’ll post the lineup later when Mattingly tells the media who’s starting.
Lineup per Eric Stephen @ True Blue LA via Twitter:
Victorino RF
Herrera LF
Kemp CF
Gonzalez 1B
Ramirez SS
Cruz 3B
Punto 2B
Treanor C
Harang p
Victorino was a late scratch. Here’s the new lineup:
Herrera, E, LF
Punto, N, 2B
Kemp, M, CF
Gonzalez, A, 1B
Ramirez, H, SS
Cruz, L, 3B
Rivera, J, RF
Treanor, M, C
Harang, A, P
New post above.
Night/Day all
Where is everyone…need to get the word out
Kemp is oficially hitting again…watch for the mini tear ending the season
2-0 Astros
Tommy looks a little more lively for this day vs last night
HST? WTF?
Oh, hello there, good to see you.
And thanks so much for making this possible.
Oh are we breaking the rules already on the new site? ^_^
Well, HST is either Hawai’i Standard Time or Harry S (no period please) Truman. I can understand his confusion. 😉
Mrs. Kemp in the same seat as yesterday
MATTY!!!!
Aaron!!
Vin has just broken Rule No. 9. Yeah, I know he’s done it before.
Alright Matt drive him in
Who is this team that has scored in almost every inning? Someone else wearing Dodger unis must be playing the Padres…
There the team we hoped them to be a month ago and are going to be next year
No, Vinnie! Don’t call it a laugher! Why, it was only a week or so ago the Dodgers gave up a 6-run lead before winning late!
I’m enjoying it while it lasts
Good hustle Nick
MATTY!!
Way to get on Matt!!
Hey Linkmeister, nice going over here! After a few days of trying to make sense of TBLA, I give up. Especially after nobody – nobody! – remarked at all on Donnie’s infuriating (to me) decision to give up a precious out in the 9th with Punto’s bunt. As if Dee Gordon can’t score from 2nd on a base hit. As culpable as the players are, Donnie lost that one.
Thanks for the compliment.
I agree, the TBLA format is utterly disorienting, not worth the trouble.
That also applies to the mostly-vacuous content. And pretty extraneous too in my small sample size, with 75% NFL talk.
See my comment on this exact subject in yesterday’s thread.
JUAN GONE!!!!
Come on Juan start it off
Question on Ethier not in lineup: did anything unusual happen with him last night that you all were referring to a bit earlier, or did he just have a really tough day at the RF office?
no just had a bad night plus facing a lefty today…I was at the game
More precisely, he struck out three times, including once with one out and the tying runner on third in the ninth.
Yea I was at the game don’t remind me ^_^
Good Job Hanley
Come on Luis
Come on Hanley
Way to get on Nick Nice Gonzo!!
Just caught up with the game
My daughter had a 1 day baby sitting class where she learned CPR the class let out a little late.
Last night I met Mrs. Kemp before the game then asked her to have her son sign my new Matt Kemp Jeresy after I told her Matt and I shared the same birthday. My seats where right next to the third base camera well so it was easy to get autographs
I also got Clayton to sign my new Kershaw Jersey. Luis Cruz signed my Andre Ethier autograph jersey
My daughter got the following signatures on her gameday baseballs: Manny Mota, Luis Cruz, Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw, Jose Vizciano, and Tommy LaSorda
Tremendous
Jackpot!
Wow, a couple quick runs. Where’s KT?
I’m sure $2 Billion + looked good at the time, but no it brings more headaches.

I was a suffering Loney fan and Gonzales was one of the few players that I was okay with replacing Loney. That said, I would have preferred to trade for Headley than for Gonzales. I would have traded Ethier for Wright as well or Ethier for Upton. And, I love Cruz.
I’m 100% with you, at least on the first two sentences.
Cruz needs to lead off and Ramirez needs to hit second. Kemp needs to suggest to the Manager that he needs to be moved down in the batting order.
Oh, and Victorino needs to play bench.
Bench is Victorino’s best position right now.
Neither Ellis is playing, either. Looks like Mattingly is just rolling dice, saying “hey, these guys are tired and they’re not producing very much, so let ’em have a day off.”
According to Vin, Mellis is ill.
If so, and I hope so, that maneuver was waaay overdue. Seems to be working so far.
to bad he didn’t do that weeks ago as he should have.
The subs couldn’t have been more inept than the starters have been.
looks like Andre has been benched due to yesterday (but I’m sure they will say he has been ‘rested’)
Tough night last night and a lefty pitching today. Good day for a rest. Give it another week, and he’ll likely get plenty. 🙁
From the Gameday preview linked above: “The Dodgers outfielder is hitting just .143 off Richard in 31 career plate appearances with just one extra-base hit.”
