When I occasionally make pancakes from scratch I’ve been using a #10 cast-iron frying pan. Once it gets hot, it stays really hot, which means I often have slightly burnt pancakes. I happened to wander into Macy’s today and saw this on sale for $19.99, regularly $59.99.
I thought, for that price and savings why not give it a try? So we’ll see how it works tonight. Break out the flour (or Bisquick®) and maple syrup!
Update! Here’s what was left over. Mom and I each ate four and decreed them delicious. Some of the ones we ate had better color than these.
Deal! What’s this one made of?
Pfft. “Heavy-gauge hard anodized construction,” it says. Doesn’t say whether it’s an alloy, aluminum, or steel. Definitely not cast-iron, though.
