I went back to the doc to day for a follow-up examination of the cyst removal. Before he started last week he kept warning me “I’m not a plastic surgeon, so you’ll probably have a bigger scar than you would if one of them did this.” This was not entirely reassuring, but I figured he was pretty much kidding me. Well, I got back there today, he looked at the scar, and said “Huh. Guess I got lucky this time.” Since the mark of the incision is almost invisible just six days later, I’d say he was good rather than lucky.

The other two incisions also look good, although there’s a little more inflammation on each. He says not to worry unless that inflammation grows rather than diminishes. So I won’t.
