Here’s Mary Chapin Carpenter singing “Bells are Ringing” from her “Come Darkness Come Light” album. It’s one of six original songs on this beautiful album. Even the songs not written by Carpenter and her producer/pianist/guitarist John Jennings are unusual fare for a Christmas album. I’ve been plugging this record since the day I bought it in 2009 and I’ll continue to do so.
