Plan of Attack

Democrats in the House and Senate, I expect you to obstruct just as much as the Republicans have since 2008. Even if some legislation looks good on the surface, assume it has a consequence you don’t expect and obstruct it. Turnabout is fair play. Use holds for all they’re worth; Republican Senators surely did last session and before. Use the filibuster and reduce every bit of legislation to a cloture fight, just as Republicans did. Do not cooperate with the Republicans on any legislation; as Eric Cantor showed when Obama was trying to get the stimulus passed in 2009, “if the Democrats managed to pick off two or three Republicans, they’d be able to slap a ‘bipartisan’ label on the bill.” You can’t have that. Just say no.

I’m tired of our side always having to be the good guys cleaning up after the Republicans. As much as you can, don’t let them make the mess in the first place.

  1. Did you hear McConnell say the first thing, FIRST thing they are going to do is get rid of the fillibuster? I agree with everything you said above but sadly the Democrats play too nice and see where it has gotten us. Damn, just damn………..
