SC was not a good place to coach today

First the University of Southern California fired its head football coach Steve Sarkisian for an addiction problem of some kind. Then came the news that Steve Spurrier announced his retirement from the University of South Carolina effective immediately. There was no reason given, at least not so far. It could be as simple as the team’s record: it’s 2-4 and 0-4 in the SEC conference. Spurrier’s teams have never had a losing season at the school.

Fortunately, the University of Southern Colorado renamed itself Colorado State University – Pueblo back in 2003, so its coaches are presumably safe.
