Today’s phone call: “Be at the hospital at 0530, surgery around 0730, probably a one-hour procedure, out by 0930-1000 if all goes well.”

Man. There’s probably something to be said for getting in and out early in the day, but having to get up at 0430 to start is a bit more than I’d anticipated or wanted. And no coffee first!
