NO Vargas against a left handed pitcher and Biggio,Heyward and Lux starting against a left handed pitcher, Giants must be having a bullpen game.
Never a doubt
Ha!
7 pitches only required by Yarborough.
Woo-HOO!!!
Wow!! Good job boys.
Dodgers win!!!!
Two.
2 away.
One.
OK, just get it over with.
Ok Yarbs. Close it out smoothly please.
Yes, please.
It didn't seem so at first, but that was worth sitting through the tenth for.
I wonder what the record is for runs scored in one extra inning with the Manford man?
Wow indeed John!
I only tuned in bottom of 10 bases loaded with 1 out and then was waiting for a walk off again
You bring good luck and charm all rolled into one!
I’m supposed to be loading up the trailer to do a tip run, I’m a bit distracted for a bit
14-7. Football score!
WAH-OOOOOOOOOOH!!!!
Well, well, well.
Is this baseball or pinball?
Does it get any more fun than this?
Wow
Where ya been, mate?
Watching from afar (literally) a busy year
Everyone hits!!!
It just gets better and better
Great to have you here!
Pour it on!
CT3!!
The baseball gods want to go to bed.
They all drop in!!
Given all the luck the Gnats have had…
They dew drop in.
FREDDIE!
Freddie!!
WILL SMITH!!!!
Willlll!!!
Beautiful 0-2 pitch!
I’d be alright with back to back bombs by Will and Freddie.
Butb that'll do for now!
Big inning, please!
Let’s score 3 this inning.
Hudini.
Good one!
Daniel Hudson!
Chapman gets it done!
Yes!
Patsy Baibey delivers!
Good pitch. Very good pitch.
There’s 2.
Tough call
Don’t know. Dodgers out of challenges, but umps didn’t want to review.
You get an extra challenge in extra innings. Must be umpire review only on that.
Bounced off his foot. But umps say no dice for a review.
Why not?
We need a miracle.
Ok. Now it’s getting serious.
Ay-yi-yi. (Sp.?)
¡Ay ay ay!
Gracias.
I’m fine for the Dodgers to play 11 innings tonight.
Looks I’m arriving at a good time. I was watching Canada beat Chile in the Copa America tourney. Advanced to the knockout round for the first time ever in a major tournament.
Need 3 big outs here now from Huddy.
We need you, WDave!
I’m here to stay til the end of the game!
Correction: Canada tied Chile but it was enough to advance. So it felt like a win!
I have a soft spot for Chile, but soccer means siesta time.
Why must that announcer always talk about his views on the way the game is played? I get it, but really tedious after a while.
Smoltz is the worst. So many times he says, “As I said,” when he didn’t say any such thing.
Every chance he gets he talks about a play in terms of it verifying his view of how baseball should be played.
Yep. That’s Smoltz.
TV or radio announcer?
Smoltz
Hope one is enough.
Surprised to see a runner for Pages, who has decent speed.
Doc recalling him running through Dino stop sign a couple of weeks ago.
Miggie scores CT3!
Miggy is unstoppable.
6’ 11”? 225? String bean.
Probably why he is not playing basketball.
Okay, then.
These unis aren't quite so ugly as Friday's.
Agree.
Phoo.
¡Miércoles en sábado!
Teóscar seems anxious lately.
something brewing…
Ugh
Two breaks.
Ugh.
This board needs Link, Scoop, Bob, and Dave today.
Lurking these days. Got a knee replacement a couple weeks ago and dealing with that.
How’s the rehab going?
Starting the rehab without narcotics stage. Difficult balancing the pain/gain tradeoff.
Pages with a better eye than the umpire or too close to take
Freddie! Double!
Almost gave it back
Wade has terrible since his return.
Argh! Another double.
You can do this, Vesia.
Almost in the dirt.
The catcher had to raise his arm about four inches. But Kiké didn’t wait for the call, and sometimes I think Umps punish batters for that.
Given how well Ohtani has hit since being put in the leadoff spot, will Betts hit second when he returns?
Doubtful
Ball four to Quique was strike two.
Called strike two. So annoying.
Sigh. Tie game. Again.
I napped through the dodger rally.
I repeat – I could get Ahmed out throwing underhand.
Coulda been a bigger inning.
Nice job by Rodríguez.
First pitch to Will is a ball called a strike.
Just when you think Biggio can't get any worse…
Baibey is a terrible defensive catcher. Led NL in errors last year, passed balls this year.
MIggy delivers again.
Deep breaths. The game is young.
He might think Glasnow is too peaved
I would be, too.
Yeah, Glasnow might have bitten his head off
Why isn’t Will talking to him?
Reduced visits allowed these days
Another bad play by Biggio going to the bag.
Not sure he could have gotten the out at home.
If he goes to second, they turn it.
Maybe. Probably?
Odds not the best on a slow grounder turning two
UMP!!!
Geeze. Dumb error.
I've seen about enough of Biggio. Worth a stab in the dark, but he's showing why Scrub Jays cut him.
Waiting for Max.
When does Stone pitch again?
Tyler doesn’t have it today. Too many pitches right down the middle.
Previous pitch would been a K if they'd called his swing before that.
Umpire hasn't helped.
And if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle
Did he go around?
Baibey swung at that.
Not much he could do in the corner.
It was his approach getting to the corner
There are weird caroms there, gotta avoid a triple or worse.
I realize that and caution was the right decision. I'm just noting that he may have been overly cautious.
Heyward seemed especially cautious going after that ball
You can't walk a banjo hitter like Ahmed. I could get him out throwing underhand.
Would you pull the string?
Glasnost not in command.
Small sample size but I can't remember a time when I have been in SF and it was windy.
It almost always is, but Software Stadium not quite so much as Windlestick.
Maybe I can get a big contract to visit SF to keep the wind at bay so-to-speak.
Announcers explained it–there are Giant fans in the stands.
Crazy catch by Ramos.
Shohei!!!
That's better.
Gnats are swing-crazy so far.
Oh, man. Ump?
Strike three called a ball.
Clearly. Not even close.
Maybe Glasnow needs to change up his pitches?
Good job, Glasnow. Way to pay attention. Meanwhile, Gnats keep hitting doubles! What the heck?
Some BALCO Flaxseed Oil remaining from last night, apparently.
Outman would have caught one of them
Quite possibly, but Pages is not a bad CF.
Going back may be his worst skill.
Weakest skill. That was the word I was trying to find before I settled for worst.
A joy forever.
Ha! Out! Terrible steal attempt.
I can't find Fox on my Roku, so I've had to go to the other room to see Miggy tie it up.
Our turn. Let’s go one, two, three as well please, Glasnow.
No blackout today. One benefit of yesterday's is that I didn't have to see the Gnats' hideous home uniforms for Friday.
Stone is the first Dodger rookie to throw a complete-game shutout since Hyun-Jin Ryu on May 28, 2013. Stone is also the youngest Dodger to throw a CG-SHO since Clayton Kershaw on July 2, 2013.
Have you all been voting for the All-Star Game? Will Smith needs our support.
Will get right on it.
Done. While I was at it, I voted for the worst AL candidates. Is that how we are supposed to do it?
Since the ASG has become such a joke, why not?
LOL. I vote for my favorite players regardless of the numbers. And also for the Guardians that are deserving and I never vote for a player from the cheating Asterisks. I also don't vote for any Padres.
Same, except the Guardian part, though I did vote for Carlos Santana just because.
Gotta vote for Ramirez and Kwan.
Actually did vote for Kwan as well
I used to love the ASG, but it no longer interests me and I use the time to take a break from baseball. The voting system is preposterous. Players should choose among their peers.
Regardless of your opinion, Will Smith deserves to be there and could use your votes.
I abstain.

Woo-HOO!!!
White Sox scored all their runs this whole series in one inning. Dodgers scored in 7 different innings by comparison.
Just got home from umpiring a youth baseball game. The winning team scored 10 in the first, which takes the spark out of the game, and won 20-5. Now to more important things: Shohei and Stone. What a pair! How long did that game take?
2 hours and 2 minutes! So quick!
Stone just missed getting a Maddux. 103 pitches.
And he didn't get the calls Maddux got.
Thanks, fellow bloggers. Now let’s sweep the Jints starting Friday night.
Stone should be an All-Star.
CGSO is the new no-hitter.
Except of course for the pitcher who pitched an actual no hitter earlier this year.
That was soooo yesterday
Lux with the glove to get the final out for CY / CG Stone.
CGSO!
Been a long time coming for the Dodgers.
Huh? It’s an anachronism.
Not since Buehler in 2022.
Dodgers win! Rolling Stone!!!
He rocked.
So to speak…
Wow!! Stonewalled them.
Just got back from watching Inside Out 2 with a bunch of university students – who were kids when the first movie came out. Very well done movie.
I missed a great game here from Stone and Shohei obviously!
Kudos for Lux for avoiding that inside pitch
Lux is not getting it done. He is a mess.
He's been very good recently, until tonight.
I'm keeping the light on.
Stoner is really getting it done. He belongs at the ASG.
Fifth rounder! Good job scouts.
CY and the Family Stone
The O’s with CY Present (Stone), CY Past (Palmer), CY Future (Flanagan) and CY Clone (Davis).
CG Stone!?
Teo has fairly even splits but too often can't lay off the slider. Steve Garvey often swung at pitches that bounced in the dirt wide of the plate.
I fondly remember Garvey getting knocked down and then hitting the next pitch for a homer. That said, I won't vote for him.
Too close to take Barnsy.
Hard to say if he read the pitch and didn't offer or the pitch froze him.
Beautiful doubleplay
I like a well turned double play almost as much as I like a throw from RF to 3rd base for an out.
Agreed. I bet you loved Roberto Clemente.
He's among the ones I liked best.
Me too.
He shoulda been a Dodger.
Lux got hosed.
Ha! Rojas runs across to give Freddie a high five. The infielders really appreciate having him at first. (As do we all!)
Miggy would be wonderful even if he didn't hit a lick.
Atta boy Freddie.
Well done Freddie
Will deserves to be there.
At season's end.
Sho-Boom!!!
Simply unreal.
Shohei redux.
San Diego just beat Washington, 8-5, with the Nationals scoring all five of their runs in the 9th.
Fryers looking lately like legitimate mild carders.
Deleted by moi.
