Unacceptable. Why was Phillips not starting the 10th.
Phillips definitely should have started the 10th. He was inserted in a spot he is not used to — in the middle of an inning.
DP, Yarbs.
Muncy to the 60 day IL. Earliest game Muncy can play for the Dodgers is July 19.
I wonder who will be added to the 40
Kyle Hurt taken off the 60 day IL and reports to OK and the 40 is full again.
Tonight we attend the annual Midnight Sun game in Fairbanks. Dave Winfield will be there, honored as the only Fairbanks Goldpanner ever inducted into the HOF.
It starts at 10 pm, with sunset at 12:48 am. We're told that some extra-inning games have gone until 3 am (sunrise is at 2:58 am).
I despise Reggie Jackson's cheating in 1977 Series, but I have to admire his speaking out at the Alabama game last night. I bet MLB and Fox loved this one. https://x.com/DonLew87/stat…
I blame the umpires for not calling interference. Reggie didn't do anything more than what a batter would do if he let a pitch hit him.
That’s some interview. Very brave and honest. Needs to be said.
I concur. I had not previously heard Reggie speak out in this manner. I remember an interview that he gave during one of the A's playoff or World Series games that I covered during the early 1970s. Smiling broadly, he said, "I have a white man's first name, an Hispanic man's middle name, and a Black man's last name: Reginald Martinez Jackson." (Last night's game was in Alabama, by the way).
You're right, so I've edited. These Southern states I've never visited – Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi – all feel the same to me.
So you’ve never been to New Orleans? It’s an awesome city. I’ve also enjoyed time in Kentucky.
I've enjoyed "Justified," but it doesn't make me want to visit Kentucky.
Sounds awsome. Screw Reggie Jackson.
What a stupid loss
Up to Lux but I feel like it’s just going to be a terrible night in sports.
Yeah. Swinging wildly. But Yarbrough was the problem tonight. Three HBPs ain’t gonna get it done.
Yep. He should get the loss.
sigh
Let’s go Enrique
Just get the tying run in.
Time for some Jay-Hey magic.
Ok. Our turn.
Dang so close to getting out of it
Sweeper didn’t quite sweep.
Rats.
Good play by Lux!
I thought I recalled the Angels beating the Dodgers 3-2 a bunch of times over the years. (Of course not recently since the Dodgers have apparently won the last 10 head to head.)
According to ChatGPT the Angels have beaten the Dodgers 3-2 12 times. Meanwhile the Dodgers have beaten the Angels 3-2 only 2 times.
Ruh roh. Extra innings. Not our super power.
I’m here for the end of the movie. Hope it is over in the next 5-10 min.
I was going to see Titanic and someone told me the ship sank and ruined it for me.
Not cheering for the iceberg I guess.
Walk this off boys.
I’m looking at Miggy Ro.
You've got to be kidding me. Good grief.
Yarbrough a little pitchie tonight.
I would just say he failed. Miserably.
He is rusty.
Great, now I feel better. SMH
Freddie is a magician at 1st. Saves a ton of errors.
Knack Knot going to get the win
K! Phew.
Just get the out and keep things even, please.
Yikes. Three HBP!
That's gotta be a record.
Holy Crap.
Both teams looking for a double
SHOHEI!!!!
455 feet.
Might have been just an out in old Forbes Field.
Forbes Field in Pittsburgh | 1909-1970
ODDITY: "Greenberg Gardens" and left-center field, which was 457 feet from home plate—one of the longer distances in MLB history.
Wah-Ooh!!!
Let's get the kid some runs.
Nice play Teo.
I love watching Pages hit.
DE###############
Nice play Kike.
Taylor not looking bad the last few games.
I was thinking the same thing.
Vargas doing great this year.
Thank you HPU
Where is Will Smith tonight?
I can't even keep track of Waldo
Where's Willdo.
Night off.
Thank you for responding
Those kind of swings where the bat comes around and hits the catcher is no more disciplined than throwing a bat.
It has to be addressed. Put in a line the catcher can't come across and get the Robo Umps. No more framing.
Nelly Korda shoots a 9 over 81 and misses the cut.
Everyone has a bad day.
How many earned? Did he experience the wind blowing out?
All earned. No mention of wind. His first outing against a team for the second time.
