Left the restaurant just as bottom of ninth started. Disappointed on arrival home.
He was blocking the plate.
Just jumped on for this weird finish. So close to being a good one.
Me too.
Too many mistakes tonight.
Oh Pages. That didn’t work.
He ran thru the stop sign at 3rd. What a bonehead.
Winning run at the plate. End it J-Hey.
Paging Pages. We need a hit here Andy.
Up to the bottom of the lineup.
Nice!
Let’s go Will. Start it off right here.
Last call.
Rally Time!! Clap…Clap
Game has a sluggish feel to it which is funny because no one is hitting.
Game has a sluggish feel to it which is funny because no one is hitting.
Unbelievable.
That did not work.
A bloop and a blast, or I guess in this case a walk and a knock, would be great here.
Rally time here Dodgers. Let’s get a nice come from behind win tonight.
Heading out for dinner in Homer, but will be checking the phone for updates.
Grrr. Mookie grounding into a DP is not what the doctor ordered.
Buehler not long for this game me thinks.
Pretty sure they throw him out for the 6th. Heck, if he gets through that relatively unscathed he gets a QS.
Doubtful, with Ramírez warming.
Did he play last night?
Nope
He should be rusty.
Hamstring. Didn’t want to have to run the bases, so he hit it out.
He got oiled up I guess
BALCO Flaxseed Oil?
Seager should have hit one last night instead.
Right down the middle.
Dang. Drove that one.
Rats!!
Freaking errors.
Buehler in another jam here now.
Not why you were acquired, Cavan.
Oh Biggio.
Willie sure throwing well these days.
That stolen base is on Walker I think. He is not quick to the plate there.
Still, throw was there. Great slide.
The offence is feast or famine lately. And tonight, so far, it’s not exactly hanging out at the buffet table.
I'm in Cannon Beach OR and will be in and out
Greetings from Homer AK.
How long are you in Alaska?
Another 12 days. Will see midnight baseball in Fairbanks on the solstice.
Very cool!
It’s sad to think this could be Burhler’s last year with the Dodgers. If the front office wins the Rōki Sasaki sweepstakes, I don’t think they resign Buehler as well.
Yes, it would be sad to see him go.
On one level, yes, but he's fragile so that will also figure into it.
Every pitcher is fragile, but yes Walker is definitely in that category after a second TJ surgery.
Nice recovery by Ferris.
Yes. Nice pitching there WB!
Teoscar goes fishing.
Lotsa people doing that here on the Kenai Peninsula.
Oh Teo.
Ok. Let’s score at least 2 this inning.
Feel like Buehler might be rounding a corner. I’m hoping tonight and going forward this season we should see some reliably good to great pitching from Walker.
I am ready for the Dodgers to open another can of whoop-a** tonight. It tastes good.
Bada-Boom!!
Missed yesterday’s game as we went for a glacier-gazing and whale-watching excursion. Somebody had dropped a Gnats COVID mask on deck but, despite my revulsion, I couldn’t let it pollute the waters of Prince William Sound. After picking it up gingerly by the threads and dropping it into the garbage, I disinfected and then washed my hands as thoroughly as possible.
In the battle of baseball’s cheatingest franchises, Gnats and Trashtros will play the rubber game today.
I mean I guess the Chicago White Sox would also be in the conversation. #1919
No, the Black Sox lost intentionally. Gnats and Trashtros have cheated to win.
Dodgers tie franchise record with 4 home runs in one inning
Here are all the Dodgers’ four-homer innings in franchise history:
August 8, 2000: Kevin Elster, Darren Dreifort, Gary Sheffield, and Shawn Green all went deep in the fourth inning against the Cubs. Dreifort, who started the game on the mound, homered twice that night at Dodger Stadium.
September 18, 2006: Jeff Kent, J.D. Drew, Russell Martin, and Marlon Anderson homered consecutively to start the bottom of the ninth inning against the Padres.
August 22, 2016: Andrew Toles, Rob Segedin, Corey Seager, and Adrían González all went deep in the fifth inning in Cincinnati. González hit three home runs and drove in eight in an 18-9 Dodgers win over the Reds.
September 5, 2016: Joc Pederson, Corey Seager, Justin Turner, and Yasmani Grandal each hit home runs in the fifth inning against the D-backs at Dodger Stadium.
September 29, 2021: Down 9-6 in the eighth inning, Max Muncy, AJ Pollock, Cody Bellinger, and Corey Seager all homered to take an 11-9 lead over the Padres.
June 11, 2024: Corey Seager, who homered in each of the Dodgers’ previous three four-homer innings, did not play for the Rangers on Tuesday, still nursing a hamstring injury. But he was present and active at Dodger Stadium, where he got a nice ovation before his first game back as an opponent.
Dodgers in agreement with Toronto on a trade sending Cavan Biggio to the Dodgers for minor league relief pitcher Braydon Fisher. Someone will have to go down or be released. Biggio has played 1B, 2B, 3B, and LF this season. Hitting .200 with 2 homers.
Could this be the end of the line for KT3?
Would seem so, if he shows anything (doesn’t have to be much). Lefty would pair well with Quique as utility guys. But, first Vargas goes down.
Perhaps he will be rejuvenated with the Dodgers. Low risk. Worth a shot.
Ferris started shaky, but got out of the inning.
