  1. Game #84 starting here. Not sure why game 82 comments are showing up on this page.

    Dodgers (51-32)
    Giants (40-43)

    SP Tyler Glasnow R
    8-5 2.88 ERA
    SP Erik Miller L
    2-2 3.79 ERA

    Lineup:
    DH S. Ohtani L
    C Will Smith R
    1B F. Freeman L
    LF T. Hernandez R
    CF Andy Pages R
    RF J. Heyward L
    SS Miguel Rojas R
    2B Gavin Lux L
    3B Cavan Biggio L

NO Vargas against a left handed pitcher and Biggio,Heyward and Lux starting against a left handed pitcher, Giants must be having a bullpen game.

  2. I wonder what the record is for runs scored in one extra inning with the Manford man?

    • I only tuned in bottom of 10 bases loaded with 1 out and then was waiting for a walk off again

    • You get an extra challenge in extra innings. Must be umpire review only on that.

  3. Looks I’m arriving at a good time. I was watching Canada beat Chile in the Copa America tourney. Advanced to the knockout round for the first time ever in a major tournament.

Need 3 big outs here now from Huddy.

  4. Why must that announcer always talk about his views on the way the game is played? I get it, but really tedious after a while.

    • The catcher had to raise his arm about four inches. But Kiké didn’t wait for the call, and sometimes I think Umps punish batters for that.

  5. Given how well Ohtani has hit since being put in the leadoff spot, will Betts hit second when he returns?

  6. Baibey is a terrible defensive catcher. Led NL in errors last year, passed balls this year.

  7. You can't walk a banjo hitter like Ahmed. I could get him out throwing underhand.

  8. Small sample size but I can't remember a time when I have been in SF and it was windy.

  9. Good job, Glasnow. Way to pay attention. Meanwhile, Gnats keep hitting doubles! What the heck?

  10. I can't find Fox on my Roku, so I've had to go to the other room to see Miggy tie it up.

  11. No blackout today. One benefit of yesterday's is that I didn't have to see the Gnats' hideous home uniforms for Friday.

  12. Stone is the first Dodger rookie to throw a complete-game shutout since Hyun-Jin Ryu on May 28, 2013. Stone is also the youngest Dodger to throw a CG-SHO since Clayton Kershaw on July 2, 2013.

  13. Have you all been voting for the All-Star Game? Will Smith needs our support.

    • Done. While I was at it, I voted for the worst AL candidates. Is that how we are supposed to do it?

      • LOL. I vote for my favorite players regardless of the numbers. And also for the Guardians that are deserving and I never vote for a player from the cheating Asterisks. I also don't vote for any Padres.

    • I used to love the ASG, but it no longer interests me and I use the time to take a break from baseball. The voting system is preposterous. Players should choose among their peers.

  14. Dodgers (50-31)
    White Sox (21-60)

    SP Gavin Stone R
    8-2, 3.04 ERA
    vs
    SP Erick Fedde R
    5-2, 3.05 ERA

    Lineup:
    DH S. Ohtani L
    LF T. Hernandez R
    1B F. Freeman L
    RF J. Heyward L
    CF Andy Pages R
    2B Gavin Lux L
    SS Miguel Rojas R
    3B E. Hernandez R
    C A. Barnes R

  15. White Sox scored all their runs this whole series in one inning. Dodgers scored in 7 different innings by comparison.

  16. Just got home from umpiring a youth baseball game. The winning team scored 10 in the first, which takes the spark out of the game, and won 20-5. Now to more important things: Shohei and Stone. What a pair! How long did that game take?

  17. Just got back from watching Inside Out 2 with a bunch of university students – who were kids when the first movie came out. Very well done movie.

I missed a great game here from Stone and Shohei obviously!

  18. Teo has fairly even splits but too often can't lay off the slider. Steve Garvey often swung at pitches that bounced in the dirt wide of the plate.

    • I fondly remember Garvey getting knocked down and then hitting the next pitch for a homer. That said, I won't vote for him.

  19. Ha! Rojas runs across to give Freddie a high five. The infielders really appreciate having him at first. (As do we all!)

  20. San Diego just beat Washington, 8-5, with the Nationals scoring all five of their runs in the 9th.
