Checking in late and, I hate to have to say it, but I think Ferris is washed up.
On the bright side, Gnats and Fryers have both lost.
And the Cheatros.
I take pleasure in their travails, but they're in the other league.
I still loathe them as much as the Gnats and Puds. I hope this is the beginning of their decline into irrelevance.
Walker will be fine. Just struggling with location of his breaking stuff.
Cray-Hey game!
Way to go Michael Peterson!
He must feel so good. And he should.
7th Heaven!!!
11th Heaven.
Wah-Ooh!! What a win!!
Dodgers win!!!!
WOO-HOOOO!!!!
EP coming in. Hope this goes in the plus column for Doc as well.
The Ump giveth, the Ump taketh away.
Ugh a walk.
Bad future person.
Not really. Strike three.
Ball four was a strike.
Yep.
One more out please.
Ump giving us a few freebies there.
For all the discussion about the pros and cons about Dave Roberts, let’s put the pinch hitting switch from CT3 to JHey in the plus column.
It was a no brainer.
Yes, but CT3 has shown signs of life.
Went with the better matchup.
Wow.
There’s one
I doubt Mookie would've made that play.
Vesia
Bring in EP I guess?
Who else? Vesia, it appears.
Walked Buehler says “not my responsibility”
He kept it close…
Close for Coors!
Quality futuring, you guys!
What a game!!!!
Holy Cow!!
TEO!!!!!
Woooohoooo!
Hooooooooooooooo!!!
Vamos, ¡Teóscar!
Pitch clock violation.
Ump didn’t hear Will ask for time so Will stepped out and took a strike down the middle.
Up to Teo!
Oh Will.
What was that?!
That sucked.
Need Will and Freddie not to keep their 0 for games going.
Ohtani keeps the line moving.
Wow!
That catch by Doyle keeps Colorado in this game.
9-8!!!
In play run(s)!!!
Let’s go JHey. No double plays please
He heard you,.
Let’s do the Rockies thing from last night and score like 5 runs in this inning.
Make it 6-plus.
Last call!!
As a little kid in Brooklyn, I was always a fan of the Dodgers, as were my parents before me, but I thought so much of Willie that I had a pair of sunglasses that had written on them”Say Hey,” which he called people because he had trouble remembering everyone’s names. I think he was the greatest player ever and I loved rooting for him wholeheartedly in the All-Star games.
The last genuine Giant. Since then, they've all been Gnats.
Yep Scoop. Even as a young Dodger fan growing up, I was a fan of Willie and Mickey Mantle. They were the baseball cards you kept. Wish I still had them.
Doyle with the MVP catch.
That’s probably the game right there.
Rule 1 violation.
Shoot!
Dodgers could get back in this game right here
Ohtani!!
476 feet!!
476 feet.
Sho-Boom!!
Well, so far this game seems like a bit of a dud.
Bana-Bing.
Buehler leaving his breaking pitches in the middle of the plate.
Phils get 2 in B9 to beat Pads 4-3
Betts would have made the play
Pages hits it where they ain’t.
Well, that's a start.
Giants legend Willie Mays dies at 93.
Jerry West, Bill Walton, and now Willie Mays.
Buehler still struggling to locate his off speed stuff. Leaving pitches in the middle of the plate.
I was worried the Rockies would have momentum after their ninth inning frenzy of hits with two outs.
You were right for sure.
Sinker isn't sinking.
Freddie Freeman drew five walks yesterday. During the 1996 season, Ozzie Guillen of the White Sox set the MLB record for fewest walks in a full season (at least 150 games played) with 10. He had 528 plate appearances in exactly 150 games, striking out 27 times.
Doesn't sound like Ozzie would be a good leadoff hitter. I don't remember where he hit in a lithe lineup. Only 10 walks seems hard to do.
Dodgers (45-29)
Rockies (25-47)
SP Walker Buehler R
1-4 4.64 ERA
SP Austin Gomber L
1-4 4.26 ERA
Lineup:

CF Andy Pages R
SS Miguel Rojas R
3B E. Hernandez R
LF M. Vargas R
2B Chris Taylor R
One or more batters in the four through nine holes will need to have a big game.
Oakland would not be jealous.
Right now we are without Betts, Muncy, Yamamoto, Kershaw, Graterol, Sheehan, May, Gonsolin, Grove, Kelly and Brasier, all of whom would/could have been big factors down the stretch and some of whom still will. If it wasn't for what he did, Urias would be part of the rotation. And there there is/was Bauer. Thankfully, Miller returns on Wednesday, although I wish that his return wasn't in Denver, but that's the way it goes. On the other hand, we have gotten great, good and in some cases surprising help from Glasnow, Paxton, Stone, Teo, Grove (now on the IL) and Banda. Taylor has been a washout and Kiké hasn't provided much help. Buehler could be rounding into form.
Atlanta also enjoying having their best players on the IL.
CT3 is showing some signs of life, but there's a ways to go.
The Dodgers will enter play on Tuesday with an 8.5-game lead in the NL West, their largest of the season.
Biggest comeback in the 9th inning since July 18, 1957.
