I expect Vargas is now trade bait. He hit well, but doesn't have a position here.
If Biggio works out, the Dodgers would have utility replacement for CT3 and Vargas could come back as righty outfield and spot starts at 3rd and 2nd. If Biggio doesn’t work out, he certainly could be trade bait for utility guy. Quique not all that secure either.
What a mess.
And you can add Taylor to the mix.
Taylor should be DFA'd.
They still owe him about $6.5 million for the remainder of this year, $13 million for next year and a $4 million buyout (if they don't keep him) for 2026. That may be too big a pill for the Dodgers to swallow. They should package him in a deal and have the trade partner pick up some of the money, if possible. He is, sadly, dead weight,
Yep Scoop. It is going to be a $23M hit. But, if he stays it wastes a roster spot and $23M. If he goes, it opens a roster spot for someone who may be productive. He is useless. Time to move on.
I expect Biggio's a shot in the dark.
Really need Betts and Ohtani to get hot.
Offense-wise over past 28 games an average record, hitting an average .249 compared to NL average of .247.
Many mediocre individual and team batting averages.
According to Dodgers.com, on the play that ended last night's game, Pages said he put his head down and never saw the third base coach Dino Ebel, who was halfway down the line, put up the stop sign:
The Pages strategy on baserunning: Dino Ebel? See No Ebel.
Hardly – he's got one K. Texas leaguers are all falling in. though.
Biggio fits right in. A no hit utility player.
Who was batting .200 when we acquired him
Well, at least an improvement on KT3.
Well, it might be time to score some runs.
We should be lighting this guy up. Geez!!
And the walk scores.
Dodgers getting pecked to death by ducks.
Orel amazed that there is a guy pitching effectively in this day and age who is slower than he was in his prime.
Well, this is not going well. Leaving pitches in the middle of the dish.
Grover giving up hard contact.

Bullpen game tonight
I missed the end of last night's game, but on seeing the video I'd say there was a pretty strong case that, under current rules, the catcher was illegally blocking the plate.
I personally preferred the old way of doing things but, in this case, I can't go along with the interpretation.
In case you thought this team was Hernández-short… https://x.com/Dodgers/statu…

Our last six outs were Ks.
Our big guns failed.
