Astros at Nationals, 5:07 PM PDT, TV: Fox
The Astros ask RHP Zack Greinke to win what really can be called a must-win game for them. He’s made three starts this postseason; the first was horrid but the last two were acceptable (3.48 ERA in 10 1/3 innings). The Nationals counter with RHP Aníbal Sánchez, who’s got an 0.71 ERA in 12 2/3 innings this postseason.

It was an unusual night at the park. Incredible crowd energy (well, it was first WS game in DC in 86 years). But as the ‘Stros methodically chipped away and the hours passed you could see the energy slip away. By the ninth, even with the top of the order coming up, the crowd was sitting and relatively quiet as if they thought the loss was inevitable.
Got another invite for tonight, but I am traveling down to Mexico and will likely only catch the tail end of teh game upon arrival.
What is the purpose of your trip? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kahp_kmOFzQ
Vacation mostly though will be seeing a few clients during my stay.
This is a lot more amusing than the Braves’ fans’ tomahawk chop.

I still haven’t seen a single pitch live but, looking in on Gameday from time to time, I notice that Fox’s “highlights” are so brief you barely get to see anything.
Great catch!
Gameday video doesn’t have it. What was it?
Center fielder making a one handed grab at the wall.
tks
Thrilled to be here. Well, as thrilled as I can be not seeing my beloved Dodgers.
Ihope you are in those left field seats so you can get more chances to catch home run balls, albeit Nat’s home runs.
I’ve been to three Dodgers Series games. They were all in Oakland in 1974.
Okay, WBB. If we make it again next year, you are coming here to Dodger Stadium and going with me. Deal? I think it’s the missing magic sauce!
Are you sure? They lost all three games in Oakland that year.
