Game 132, 2016

Dodgers at Rockies, 5:40PM PT, TV: SPNLA, ROOTRM

It’s a battle of lefties tonight. The Dodgers send Rich Hill (10-3, 2.09 ERA) out for his second start since being acquired at the trade deadline, and the Rockies counter with Tyler Anderson (4-5, 3.69 ERA). In his first outing for the Dodgers Hill went six scoreless innings against the Giants; in his last start Anderson gave up two runs in five innings against the Brewers.

  1. When I fell asleep, Greinke had just surrendered an RBI double to Flash-in-the-Panik. It shoulda been a triple, but a Gnatfan reached over the fence to keep him at second – possibly the difference in the game.

  2. Snakes now lead 4-1, after Beef Wellington delivers a two-run single off Cueto, who’s knocked out of box.

  3. Snakes have taken the lead over the Gnats. 2-1 in the fifth. Greinke throwing lotsa pitches, though.

    • I hope you are not too disappointed. It is a bummer that you made this special trip and the game gets rained out. Can you go tomorrow?

      • A friend from Chicago and I bought tickets for all three games. Hoping the skies are clear tomorrow afternoon. Won’t see tomorrow night’s game because I have an evening flight back to San Jose. Had a long conversation with a couple of big Dodgers fans from Colorado Springs and chatted with a guy who pitched minor league baseball 60 years ago. Evening turned out pretty well. Thanks for your post.

  4. Are they still thinking they will play tonight? Regardless, glad to see Seager out. He needs a breather after getting plunked twice last night. Let the swelling go down.

  5. Reporting from Coors Field (Day 2): First of all, my apologies for last night. At least we didn’t get shut out. Thank you, Toles. I am underwhelmed by our lineup tonight. It is raining, but it should clear up soon. By the way, in response to a comment last night, the beer here is quite good.
