Dodgers at Jays, 10:10AM PT, TV: SPNLA
Kershaw (3-1, 1.96 ERA) goes against R.A. Dickey (1-3, 5.73 ERA). This will be the Dodgers’ lefty’s first outing against the Blue Jays in his 9-year career. He still has the Orioles, Red Sox and Twins to go (barring expansion). Dickey was the guy who won the Cy Young Award the one time Clayton didn’t between 2011-2014. He’s not had a good start to this season, but the Jays are hopeful he’s turned it around.

Urias as the eighth inning guy seems to make sense. They can control his innings while providing some experience.
Uriah as a possibility for the eight inning guy we seem to be lacking, makes sense to me. You can keep his innings in check and give him some experience.
How did the game end? https://twitter.com/RyanWaltonSBN/status/729033534153744384
Take the rubber game and we can go 3-2 on this road trip. Now, if we could only do better at home. Getting the offense going against the Met’s pitching will be a challenge, however.
No details given yet, but the Dodgers have suspended Erisbel Arruebarrena for the balance of the season.
“We have suspended Erisbel Arruebarrena for the remainder of the season for his repeated failure to comply with the terms of his contract,” said Gabe Kapler.
This is the second year in a row they’ve suspended him in May, although last year the suspension was reduced to 30 games after appeal to the Commissioner’s Office.
NPUT scheduled for 0930 Pacific Time.
Not Hawai’i Time?
That’d be 0630.
Despite today’s result, the offense still seems stagnant, with several of the runs due to Jays’ misplays. The dingers from Joc and Turner were encouraging, but the latter really needs to step it up.
Woo-HOO! I thought it started at 1:30 PST. Oh well.
Dodgers win! Dodgers win!
Fine inning by Báez.
The offense is fizzling again. This is getting truly tiresome.
Ha! From Gameday just now, describing the pitch Kendrick hit: “65mph Eephus”
Lotta pitches, Clayton. 90 through five.
Far too many. He’s not sharp today.
So then he takes 22 pitches or so to get thru the next two innings.
Still, far from his sharpest outing.
So, must we now doubt Link’s commitment to Vin Scully Way?
“The” Vin Scully Way?
Since the name change.
