AL Game: Royals at Blue Jays, 1:00PM PT, TV: FS1
Two ex-Mets, right-handers and ex-teammates go at one another this afternoon. R.A. Dickey trots out his knuckleball for the Jays and Chris Young for the Royals.
NL Game: Mets at Cubs, 5:00PM PT, TV: TBS
Two right-handers start against one another in Game Three of the NLCS too, but Jacob deGrom of the Mets has an extra year under his belt in the bigs. deGrom was Rookie of the Year last year; this season was Kyle Hendricks’ rookie one. deGrom was excellent in Game One of the NLDS and pitched well-enough-to-win in Game Five; Hendricks went 4 2/3 in Game Two of the Cubs’ NLDS win and was lifted after surrendering back-to-back home runs.

If I believed in Satan, I would ask how Daniel Murphy could afford to hire him away from the Gnats.

Casual fan sums up the season (per David Young of TBLA): http://captiongenerator.com/64653/Hitler-reacts-to-the-Dodgers-losing-the-NLDS-again
I have seen a lot of those re-dubbed Hitler speeches. This one is so many different levels of awesome however. I laughed at the Mat Latos comment – and even the “It’s okay Catherine, at least Kershaw didn’t blow it.”
If Hitler is right, shouldn’t we be happy too be wrong?
My favorite line was “Steiner has telegraphed us…”
Aussie Liam Hendricks efforts is news over here

He appears to have pitched extremely well today, though I haven’t watched a single pitch since the Dodgers’ season ended. His performance hasn’t made much of a difference in the game, though.
C’mon, Jays, you need to win this. I want seven games. More baseball, more!
That Syndergaard trade ain’t lookin’ so good, Toronto – unless you really preferred an aging knuckleballer.
With knuckleballers the older the better, no?
I dunno if better, but they often have longer careers – witness Hoyt Wilhelm, Charlie Hough, Tim Wakefield, Phil Niekro.
