Dodgers at Padres, 7:10PM PT, TV: SPNLA, MLB free game
Josh Beckett deserves better than his 4-4 won-loss record. He’s got a 2.49 ERA and his last loss was his defense’s fault. He pitches for the Dodgers at Petco Park tonight. The Padres counter with Tyson Ross, who’s 6-6 with a 3.27 ERA. His last outing wasn’t good; he walked seven in 5 2/3 innings and lost.
Lineup when available. Puig is day-to-day with a sore hip, apparently a recurrence of the flexor problem he had last week. Uribe is scheduled to play infield at Rancho Cucamonga tonight.
#Dodgers lineup at San Diego:
Gordon 2B
Ramirez SS
Puig RF
Gonzalez 1B
Kemp LF
Ethier CF
Turner 3B
Butera C
Beckett P

Alas, the Giants held on against the D-Backs.
Yes, but LA overcame its bullpen.
The ‘pen has become an urgent issue. Too much deadwood and even more that’s showing signs of rot. The AAA relievers can’t be any worse and may well be better; I don’t how Elbert’s rehab stint went last night.

Alright!
K-enley!
Get the K, KJ!
2-run lead going to the bottom of the 9th . . . deja vu all over again?
To quote Danny DeVito from “Cuckoo’s Nest” — “hope no.”
(And I hope LA adds MANY insurance runs.)
The starters are going to demand to go the distance.
I’m really getting tired of this bullpen roulette.
We need to add more runs here
Let’s hope one more is enough.
Does Turner “automatically” have to sit when Uribear is ready?
He’s not 100 percent either.
Hanley!
Let’s pick up more runs — the only defense against the bullpen is lots and LOTS of runs . . . or the SP having a no-hitter.
In Phoenix, Vogelscheiße starting to give it back.
Speed is a good thing to have.
Tonight I wanna see a laugher (say 12-1, Dodgers).
Much better than the tears of clowns and fans last night!
