  1. If ever there was proof that spring training records are meaningless, here is today’s lineup:
Gordon SS, Amezaga 2B, Puig LF, Moore RF, Herrera 3B, Federowicz C, Gwynn CF, Van Slyke 1B, Castro DH, Billingsley P.

  2. Comments at dodgers.com can be a zoo. I don’t camp there or anything,
but these 3 consecutive ones under game story from yesterday weren’t
    bad–

Uribe has become a real problem for us.He is not good enough to start and if
he sits on the bench,it doesn”t leave enough room for the other players
    to sit down.

Not to mention the stress for the poor bench. Problem is no one wants to take him.

Perhaps when Mattingly stated that he wanted to strengthen the bench he was being literal.

  4. Man… I wish I had a faster internet connection…
Had to turn off the game on dodgers.com as it kept pausing….
Hung with it for a while, it got the best of me.

Either way, what’ up with the zero tv coverage of this team in 2013?
If I were ownership, I’d show each and every game…both live, and then again that night….
Let the fans hear Vinny….let them get ‘Dodgers on the brain’….
After all, Pujols, Trout, and Hamilton et.al. are just a 40 minute drive down the 405.

Seems counter-intuitive to me to keep the club off of tv while I’ve seen the Angels every day.
I’m a loyal Dodgers fan, but… I just think it’s poor marketing. IMHO.

    • I mean to say….
      There are loyal Dodgers fans…
      There are loyal Angels fans…
      But, who’s kiddin’ who? ….

There is a portion of LA/OC MLB dollars that are ‘up for grabs’….

      IMHO.

      • I’m wondering if Fox Sports West executives are angry about the Time Warner deal for next year and have reduced the coverage for Spring Training out of spite. I doubt it, since most intelligent businesses don’t consider spite a good reason to cut off ad revenue, but with Fox? Who knows?

    • I missed it, but Eric Stephen found an updated TV/Webcast schedule the Dodgers issued yesterday (Saturday, March 2). There are five more games on Prime Ticket or KCAL:

Thursday, Mar. 7 vs. Texas, 12:05 p.m. (Prime Ticket)

Sunday, Mar. 17 vs. Milwaukee, 1:05 p.m. (KCAL)

Monday, Mar. 18 vs. Arizona, 1:05 p.m. (Prime Ticket)

Saturday, Mar. 23 vs. White Sox, 1:05 p.m.(KCAL)

Tuesday, Mar. 26 vs. Colorado, 7:05 p.m. (KCAL)

And seven webcasts (see the link above for dates).
